What to say? Two more weeks to my term tests, just finished the first presentation for Jap class today- which I think I kind of blabbered on and on about Sumo...but I suppose it went alright since the teacher did say that no one failed.
Feeling slightly depressed. And very sober. And sleepy.
Let me describe a typical day in my life now:
-Senses slowly comes back to earth, feels mum patting my leg (a.k.a get out of bed now).
-Stone in bed. Weigh whether the day is a good day to pon some lectures.
-Decides I need to get up or else I won't have time to bath, eat, do quiet time and change, all at a leisurely pace. No use ponning lecture, might as well go to school.
-Morning chores done, check bag to ensure everything is inside i.e. shawl, waterbottle, comb, tissue papers, oil blotter, make up kit, mirror, pencil box, keys, perfume, sweets, handphone, wallet, TAS Pass (or I'll have to pay to enter Sentosa), beloved iPod and my notes for the day.
-Check mirror again to see that nothing is out of place, yell farewell to whoever's at home and not asleep, unlock door, get out to house, lock door.
-Start putting on iPod on the way down the stairs for daily dosage of rock music.
-Start switching on handphone at bus stop while waiting for bus.
-On bus, look cool and indifferent. Ignore people staring. Why the heck do they keep staring anyway?
-Reach bus stop, walk briskly to catch mrt- check when next train is coming in order to determine the pace which I need to walk.
-On mrt, check handphone for sms.
-Get out of people's way. Stone. Daydream. Sleep with eyes open. Keep balance when train is moving. Check reflection when in tunnel (ok, so I suffer from the sin of vanity...).
-Hit Outram Park. Walk, walk, walk, don't look right or left. Concentrate in walking naturally and looking straight ahead without staring.
-Check reflection. Get ready to slip into mrt towards Harbourfront without looking like a typical aunty rushing into train.
-Once at Harboufront, sieve through crowd and walk towards interchange where hopefully bus is there. Try to spot the green shirt bus driver.
-Find a seat, sit and stone. Pray hard there is someone I know in the bus.
- Get ready TAS Pass to show staff.
-Blue-line bus, find a spot where you won't block other people yet stable enough so as not to get knocked about when bus moves. LAST MOMENT TO STONE.
-Go to class. Try not to stone or talk too much.
-Lunch. Check out canteen food and richness of current day's wallet.
-Slack around. Resist buying more food to eat, especially Ovalteenies!
-Go back to lesson and try not to fall asleep.
-End of school lessons- project meeting.
-If time and friends allow, walk down to Cinemania.
- SCREAM OUT EVERY SINGLE DARN THING! Go jerkiest seat (second row, first seat from the right)
-Head to departure centre.
-Stone, stone, stone all the way home.
-Unpack bag, get dinner (eat and read the library books), get yelled at by mum for not showering first. Whine to sis and mum. Take a shower, take a pill, check inbox and ole-bb.
-Start on project, save and upload to email since thumbdrive is still with sis.
-Once I start writing rubbish (she was with her grandmother happy and all...what the.), do stretching. Perservere!!!
- Say night to sis and whoever's awake. Try not to look for shapes in the shadows. Pray.
SLEEP.I have no life. I can't even attempt to be funny and witty or something because I haven't even started on my project yet and it's already 11pm and my eyes have died on me a number of times already. Everyday I wake up, I kick myself out of bed and make an ardent promise that I shall sleep early tonight in order to get enough rest. And everyday I break my own promise- the earliest I usually sleep is between 11.30pm and 1.30am.
Still. I'm surviving. I need my eyebag cream, extra water and facial foam and sugar to keep up energy without compromising on skin health.
I got a job offer at Indochine Bar and Restaurant!! But.
1) It's a bar.
2) It's at Holland Village
3) I need to work till around 9pm or 11pm, can't remember which. And I have school the next day since weekends are pretty much off for me.
I really, sincerely want to go try out. As a bartender and maybe as a waitress, but I really want to try my hands at bartending. It's not easy of course...but I think it'll be a pretty interesting job. There' s still nothing about Christmas production and well, for every subject I'm taking in school, I have a project and it's pretty sucky. They're all focusing on starting a new business, on managing...blah blah. It's all about entrepreneurship and basing on real scenerios; which means going down to see the actual place, do interviews, do research, get actual prices...it's all about the same process. Just different scenerios. And it's getting pretty boring too.
The Holland V shopping mall actually sells a lot of pretty good stuff. The clothes there are nice and the bags are one of the nicest I've seen around here. Not comparing that to Bonia bags larh...but I'd like to go down there for some shopping some day. Hopefully they won't be too pricey.
Looking for shorts at the moment. So I can wear them to school instead of jeans and three quarts. Anyone got a recommendation?
Come to think of it, perhaps I shouldn't go work at the bar. Got to keep a good image...and the people there are usually older folks I think. I think. Hm. I'll be down at Holland V sometime this week again to do some more researching...
